Orientation Programme 2010
IMSEC organized its Orientation Programme to welcome the freshers on 25th August, 2010 with great enthusiasm, vigour and vitality. The programme was attended by over 540 fresher students, their parents, faculty and staff members.
The Programme commenced with the lightening of the ceremonial lamp and invocation of the Goddess Saraswati by the Chief Guest Prof. Kripa Shankar ji, Vice-Chancellor Gautam Buddha Technical University, Lucknow. It was followed by the welcome address by Dr. Prabal Chakrovarty, Director, IMSEC. In his address, he exhorted the students to work hard in order to be successful professionals. The benign presence of the Vice Chairman, Mr. Rakesh Chharia, all Deans and HOD’s of IMSEC inspired the students to perform to the best of their ability.
UPTU Foundation Day Celebration 2010
On 8th May, 2010, IMS Engineering College celebrated the Uttar Pradesh Technical University Foundation Day in which the honourable Chief Guest Mr. U. S. Tomar, Registrar, U. P. Technical University, inaugurated the function and gave away the prizes worth 3 lac rupees to the toppers of the session 2007-2008 and 2008-2009
Inauguration of Career Development Centre 2010
Another attraction of this grand function was the inauguration of the sophisticated Career Development Centre (CDC). CDC will work for developing leadership qualities, guidance, analysis of the requirement of the training, personality development programme (PDP), quality and short term training. Thus CDC will ensure timely and maximum placement of the students in the reputed concerns, under the able supervision of Mr. Nitin Jain (AGM-CDC) and Parul Jain (AM-CDC).
Biotech Fest ‘BERGEON- 2010
Biotech Fest ‘BERGEON- 2010 was organized on 10th April, 2010 in association with GEMS (the biotech society). The events held included Technical quiz-Biowizard, Poster presentation on emerging trends in biotechnology- Alacrity, General quiz- Snakes & Ladder, The Cultural events included Blind painting, pastry eating competition, Roadies, Caricature, kaleidoscope, Footloose, Solo feggio, Stage craft and the Fashion show- Bare foot on heaven..
Mechfair’ 2010
Mechfair’10, the annual fest of Mechanical Engineering students was a stupendous success on April 10, 2010. It was organized by Mechedge, a society of Mechanical Engineering students of IMSEC. The most noteworthy point about the fest was that the students of all the branches took active part in all the events. Bridge Formation, Model Presentation, Autocad, Quiz, Singing, Dancing, Mehndi and Gossip competitions besides the Fashion Show were mega hits. The theme of the fest was ‘black hole’. Mr. V. K. Saini, the convenor of society, guided the students. A Team of main co-ordinators included Mohd. Zishan Khan, Sushant kulshreshtha. The supporing team of society included Swapnam Prakash Singh, Ritesh, Ankit ,Prashant who co-ordinated the fest successfully..

IMS Engineering College ,Ghaziabad organized its fourth convocation with all its glory on 26 February 2010, in which 375 newly graduates were awarded degrees and certificates.
Mata Ki Chauki 2010
Mata Ki Chauki, a spiritual evening was organized on 10th Feb.,2010 It attracted all because the great singer Shanker Sahni and his co-singers showered melodious spiritual songs dedicated to goddess Durga.
This spiritual cultural evening was inaugurated by the Chairman Mr. Pramod Agarwal. The event became special with the presence of Mrs. Damyanti Goel- Mayor Ghaziabad, Mr. Sarvjeet Ram- ADM, Mr. Surendra Goel- Ex. MP, Shri Satish Sharma- Former Minister, Mr. K.C. Tyagi Ex.-MP and the other dignitaries of the city. The delicious dinner given after the function was praised by all.
The event was also attended by Mr. Sanjay Agarwal, Mr. Ramesh Chaudhary, Mrs. Deepa Chharia and the other notable members of IMS Society. Dr. Prabal Chakravorthy, Director- IMSEC, Dr. R.K. Bhardwaj Director IMS, All Deans, HOD’s, Faculty and Staff Members made the event successful with their active participation and presence.
At the end of the function, Vice Chairman Mr. Rakesh Chharia thanked the artists and the guests and expressed his gratitude towards all.
Blood Donation Camp 2010
IMS Engineering College ,Ghaziabad organized a massive Blood Donation Camp at Ramanujam Block of the College on February 5, 2010 (Friday) in collaboration with the Rotary Club,Ghaziabad.
Alumni Meet 2009
The Annual Alumni Meet-2009 – third in series – was organized with great energy, enthusiasm and interest at IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad on 7th of November, 2009.
Mr. Rakesh Chharia, Vice-Chairman–IMSEC, inaugurated the function as the Chief Guest and Mrs. Deepa Chharia, Executive Member–IMS Society, also graced the function with her benign presence. Soon after the inauguration, Alumni Association members shared their real life experiences after leaving the College. A variety of Cultural Programmes by IMSECians enthralled the audience.
Dr. Prabal Chakravorty, Director – IMSEC, welcomed and congratulated the alumni for their achievements and admired them for sharing their success, secrets of their success with the present IMSECians.
A large number of alumni from the different parts of the country participated in the meet and expressed their gratitude towards the college for enabling them to stand successfully even in the present tough global scenario. Prof. S.K. Chitale, Prof. J.S. Sharma, Prof. Sanjay Gairola, all HODs and a large number of faculty and staff members were present on the occasion.
Fresher Party 2009
A Fresher Party cum cultural show titled as ‘Vihangam’ was organized with great energy and enthusiasm on 1st November’09 for the students of B.Tech and MCA. In B.Tech, Mr. Ravi Dayal Mishra of EC branch emerged as Mr. Fresher whereas Ms. Stephy Joseph of EN branch could successfully bag the title of Miss Fresher. Mr. Mrinal Ojha of EC and Ms. Debjani Gorai of IT were chosen Mr. and Miss Talent respectively. In MCA, Mr.Praveen Kumar Gupta was awarded the title of Mr. Fresher and Miss. Tanvi was chosen as Miss Fresher. Mr. Nishant Srivastava was awarded as Mr. Talent and Ms. Rashi Chaudhry won the title of Miss Talent.
