§       Robocon is the largest robotics event conducted in Asia-Pacific region every year. Only one team from each country is selected to let participate in the International Robocon. This year it will be held in Cairo, Egypt on 10^th September, 2010. National MIT Robotic Contest (Robocon Championship-2010) was held at Pune from March 4-6, 2010 in which a team of 11 Students participated from our college. IMSEC was the first college from UPTU to participate in Robocon. IMSEC and IIT, Kanpur were the only colleges from Uttar Pradesh to participate in this event.

§        CS Department organized a fest -‘Comprix’10’ on March 12^th & 13^th, 2010 which was  coordinated by Mr. Manish Kumar Jha under the leadership of Prof. Pankaj Agarwal.

§        ‘Swayam’, a students club, organized various competitions successfully. Mega Aptitude Test and Debate conducted on 13th March were grand successes. Nearly 436 students took part in the aptitude test and 20 in the debate. Poem Competition was conducted on 7th March in which 15 students participated. §        IT Fest ‘EMANARE-10’ was organized on 27th march 2010. The function consisted of cultural and technical competitions like coding-debugging, website development, debate, Ad-mad, GK quiz etc. Later it went great heights with solo dance and solo singing performances. The Students also demonstrated their creative abilities with T-shirt painting, egg-painting and collage making activities.

The most sensational event of the fest was the Fashion Show in which the students showed their modeling abilities. The function ended with an inspirational speech by Dean Sir Prof. J.S.Sharma. Prizes to the winning participants were distributed by Prof. J. S. Sharma, Dr. S. Gairola, Dr. S.S. Dahiya and Prof. S. K. Chitale. Mr. Rajeev Singh and Mr. Nimit Khanna coordinated the event suceesfully as the faculty Coordinators. The student coordinators were Anurag Rastogi,Tripatjeet Singh, Sharad Singh, Abhinav Awasthi, Prakhar Rastogi, Ankur Nigam, Shubham Garg, Nalin Kansal, Saurabh Tandon,Ruchika, Ayushi, Akanksha, Shadma,  Sumaiya, Esha Raizada, Ankit Agarwal. A get-together was organized on 25^th March, 2010 for the students who had participated in the inter-college & intra–college sports activities & won different prizes. The prizes were given away by hon’ble Vice-Chairman Mr. Rakesh Chharia. Best sportsmen & Best sportswomen awards for different sports were also distributed.

§       A friendly match of Basketball & Volleyball was played between IMSEC & Sunderdeep College played on 14^th & 15^th March 2010. IMSEC won both the championships.

 

§       A cricket tournament was organized on 26^th, 27^th & 28^th, March. 25 teams participated from all branches of IMS group. B.Tech students’ team named Red Hot won the first prize & B.Tech students’ team named Hunter won the second prize.

 

§       IMSEC won the first prize in volleyball (girls & boys) in the Sports Fest held on 20^th & 21^st March,2010 organized by IBA, Greater Noida.
